PAINTING

Painting is the primary focus of Christina Lissmann’s practice. Her paintings unfold as dense and unstable image-fields in which questions of consciousness, perception, and human embodiment are negotiated through material and form. Deep blue, nacre, reflection, and transformation recur as both motif and operative principle, generating works that move between organic structure, luminosity, and dissolution. Rather than representing fixed meanings, these paintings hold perception in suspension and open a space where thought and sensation converge.
