Christina Lissmann is a Cologne-based artist working across painting, photography, video, and installation. Her work engages questions of consciousness and the unconscious, dream, perception, and human embodiment. Trained in medicine, philosophy, art history, and ethnology, and shaped early on by her work alongside Sigmar Polke in Cologne, she approaches art as a form of inquiry. Since 2018, the focus of her practice has been painting.
